Summer is coming to an end, and at least for myself I find this a very sad time of the year. Mainly because this also means lake time is ending. I find that I get into a mood about this time every year because I hate the thought of leaving the lake behind.
This summer has been a particularly good one for me I have made alot of new friends and patched up some very dear friendships with some old ones.We have unfortunately lost some friends whom we will all miss dearly.
With every year at the lake we create a year of some very unique memories. My favorite way of holding onto these is through pictures and I have taken alot this year. They allow me to look back through them during the winter and laugh all over again at a certain day or night on the lake. And they make my winter much better, I hope some of you get the same enjoyment from them.
The group at Wolf River which is where several of these pictures are taken, is one of the best groups of people you could ever find. Everyone there has learned that having fun is a way of life and they are living it to the fullest. While we may occasionally get a little wild for the most part we keep to ourself and only wreak havoc on each other.Although I'm pretty sure we will all be going on a diet soon to loose the weight we gained from jello. But the flip side of the Jello is I'm pretty sure Bill Cosby will be visiting us soon.
I also have another great group of friends on the lake and that is Linda's Lagoon Redneck Yacht club. The people that have become a part of this group are also wonderful. I have met so many new friends out in the Lagoon this summer. We have had water balloon fights, wrestled boats and UN-tangled anchors, and had fun with each new Adventure. I'm not sure what I will do this winter to entertain myself but I'm sure Linda will find something as she seems to be the one these things follow and she just drags me right along with her. I have to give Linda's parents Ms. Frances and Mr. Carroll a great big Hats Off because they have adopted us all whether they wanted to or not and never yelled at any of us for getting just plain stupid. You two are great and we all Love you.
So to end this I want to thank everyone for the great times this summer. Wolf River gang you are the best and I can't wait to see what next year brings.
Linda's Lagoon I can only imagine what we will get into out there. I can't imagine not spending my summer with you guys. What a wonderful group of friends.
And a very special thank you to Linda (my best girlfriend) who has turned my world upside down.
She made turning 40 so much fun I never had time to cry about it. But she is close to 40 herself so it wont be long till she will be my very best old girlfriend.
